The Joint Venture by Cargill and AB InBev is counting on Hexa Ingenieros again in order to improve advanced control system (SIMATIC PCS7) that was applied one year ago at IGM malt plant located in Idaho Falls.
The aim of the project is to migrate 6.1 version of the system, which is currently being used, to the new 8.1. Thanks to the new tools that allow evaluating parameters of the process in more user-friendly way, this new version of Siemens has improved in terms of functionality and performance, efficiency of the procedure in its entire life cycle, user comfort, searching and displaying specific measurement points.
The improvement of IGM is made up of a plant that has three production lines with two steeping vessels, four germinators and two dryers. Not only will the system be modernized and will have the possibility to reduce problems due to technological advances but will also optimize its industrial processing.
Final production will be consumed by millions of people, which is a proof for growth and leadership in sales.
